Geology and exploration

Kirkalocka is located within the eastern margin of the Meekatharra - Wydgee Greenstone Belt, a well-established gold province in Western Australia’s Murchison district. The geological interpretation of Kirkalocka is indicative of typical Yilgarn Craton, Late Archean orogenic gold deposits with gold forming near the end of a long, pre-existing deformation history. Historical exploration indicates there is potential to extend known mineralisation both at depth and along strike, subject to further drilling and assessment.

Location and infrastructure

The project has direct haulage access via the Great Northern Highway and sits alongside the Kirkalocka CIL Processing Plant. Supporting facilities include accommodation, administration, laboratory, and emergency response capability. Air access is via Mount Magnet's sealed all-weather strip and an unsealed strip at site.

Processing

Ore will be treated at the adjoining 2.0 Mtpa carbon-in-leach plant, achieving recoveries greater than 90%. The facility supports both internal production and campaign-based toll treatment for regional operators. All third-party ore undergoes compatibility assessment and metallurgical test work prior to processing.
